Anne Thurston lives in Michigan with her husband on an old
cherry farm. She studied art at Ohio State University,
completing her degree at Fresno State University in 1945,
graduating magna cum laude. A ‘stay-at-home’ mother of
four she was an army/air force wife during WWII and the
Korean War. Sandwiched between were various stints of
work that involved her art background. Winning a national
McCall’s Magazine essay contest in 1943 introduced her to
the power of words. She has written ever since.
Anne writes 'The Book of Anne' out of her expereience of
raising three of her grandchildren and finding herself
entangled in government paperwork and a web of red tape.
